Captured Moments

Image
(Note: all pictures were taken with a cell phone camera to capture the moment - not the quality!) Aiden LOVES building houses out of Lincoln Logs (thanks, Auntie McKae!) and LOVES to fix them with his very professional tools. It cracks me up how he insists on wearing his goggles. Go safety. Sam has started to show interest in using the potty, even if Aiden hasn't. He even stayed dry for TWO hours wearing undies the other day!! I have a feeling he's going to be potty trained before Aiden, but I'll take what I can get... Aiden started preschool at the beginning of the year to help his speech and communication skills. He loves it and helps me most mornings by pushing Sam to school in the stroller. Sam has also learned how to climb out of his crib. This is an end result of him not being able to get back in at bedtime. We've since removed the bar and turned the crib into a big boy bed, and let me tell ya, it is CAKEWALK compared to what we had to go through with this ...

The Land of Disney

Image
Our Disneyland Adventure began with a space ship ride. The boys bravely waved their goodbyes and took off with squeals and smiles. Then, of course, were all the lines we waited in. But we managed to get every family photo shoot in as we possibly could with two, squirrely toddlers. The boys were way impressed with Buzz Lightyear's cameo in the waiting room, but not as much as watching their dad smoke all those aliens with his laser blaster gun. Aiden learned how to drive, and loved it even in his moments of sheer panic. As the boys' rite of passage into Disneyland, we had to make a special visit to the "It's a Small World" ride. Aiden was so excited to be riding in a boat. And just a cute picture of Sam wandering off from the group. And that was all the energy we could muster.
