Summer Fun

Hiking the 200 step challenge at the MAC.  It was so cute how Aiden held Cade's hand down the hill because he kept slipping. I love this kids tongue!  So happy!  And I love how he uses his feet like a monkey, too. The boys' cousin, Austin, came to visit us for a couple weeks per tradition.  We had a lot of fun having him join the craziness!! Swimming at the pool.  (Cade: "I sorry, Mom.  I sorry.  Sorry..." as he pees his pants in front of me!) A quiet day inside I love baby bums and rolls! Austin and Sam had a fun time going through the costume drawer. Chick-Fil-A cow hats!! We made a day trip out to Dinosaur Ridge where we hiked and saw real dinosaur tracks fossilized in the ground!  The boys got to dig for fossils at the visitor center and even got to meet their very own raptor.  I asked Aiden why he posed like that and he said he wanted it to look like the raptor ate his...

Happy 8th Birthday, Sam!!

We sure love our Sam the Man!  He is such a sweet, helpful boy who works so hard to do what is right.  He's a very hard worker when it comes to chores and is so kind to everyone.  He will make friends with anyone, no matter their age or circumstance.  And he is a total goofball!  He loves to pull (kind) pranks and funny faces and crazy alien voices every day just to get a laugh.  He is the perfect balance of silly and good.  We love you, Sam!! (And just to toot my own horn for a bit... I made Sam's cake and it actually turned out for the first time EVER.  It's a creeper from Minecraft, Sam's favorite video game.  Toot toot!) Pizza and root beer and cake.  Can it get any better??

School. Is. Out. For... the Summer!

Sam showed some real creativity this time for Crazy Hair Day with the cotton balls and hair gel.  Cade - as usual - wanted his picture taken too and showed us his diva side. :-D Aiden was really enthusiastic about Field Day this year. hahaha Cade is so adorable.  He tries so hard to be a good boy.  He wanted to take out the trash one night for a "point" even though the bag was as big as he was.  And every time it's his time to say the prayer he scrunches up his nose and asks, "What I say again?" This shows the stark difference between Aiden and Sam when in front of a crowd.  Both were called up for an award of excellence - Sam stoically walked up to the front to receive it, and Aiden did a victory dance before running up to get his. The Spring Recital and Awards Ceremony went great.  I have taught these sisters ever since we moved here, and two aren't even pictured.  Aiden and Sam did great, too!  Aiden likes to loo...
