Cooper started a funny method to soothe himself to sleep by rubbing his blankie on his face and then leaving it there.  Makes me a little nervous but he seems okay!  The second picture is Cooper after playing with the Porras sisters during piano lessons.  They wear him out!  It really is the best thing to see after I'm done teaching. This is how I stay in my grocery budget.  I put Cooper in the cart and shop until I run out of space! We had Rex's family over for Easter dinner and had a little Easter egg hunt afterwards.  The week before I bought a bunch of  enormous Easter eggs for decoration.  The first thing the boys did when they saw them was - of course - throw them on the ground to break them open and then put the pieces on their heads.  I had to recapture the look for posterity's sake. This little guy is sleeping through the night! AND his naps are getting longer and more predictable.  Hooray! ...

This may not seem like a "just moved in" picture, but this particular costume was a "move in" miracle! The NIGHT before we planned to load up the moving truck, Sam realized that he had to dress up as John Glenn for his class's Living Museum the next day.  All the clothes and craft materials were packed so I was scrambling to find anything that could remotely be part of an astronaut's suit.  I found an empty pretzel container along with some duct tape and painters tape.  Done.  Astronaut helmet complete.  As for the actual astronaut clothes, I got desperate and put out an SOS on Facebook to see if anyone had an astronaut costume.  Nothing.  It was getting later and I was starting to think that the helmet would have to be enough, when my friend came over to drop off Cooper (she had watched him the whole day for me!)  Her daughter walked in with her and - I couldn't believe my eyes - she was wearing astronaut pajamas!  Thankfully we were on a...

December 21, 2016 Cooper is almost 2 months old here.  Sam has finally warmed up to him now that he's not so fragile.  Sam loves to rub baby Cooper's silky smooth hair - I do too!  Actually, we ALL loved rubbing Cooper's head so much that his hair rubbed off the top.  Oops.  We had to implement a "no rubbing Cooper's head" rule until it grew back.   I love that Cooper is starting to laugh and smile for longer amounts of time.  If you look at his hands, you'll see that he holds them in a fist.  While that may not seem too unusual, he rarely ever opens his hands all the way up.  He was birthed with his fists clenched and they've stayed that way! I have to pry his fingers apart to clean his hands and keep them from getting stinky.   Once the camera comes out, Cade comes in! He's a cutie pie who just can't get enough hugs from his new little brother. After all the baby pictures, Sam wanted to show off...
