The Phillips Family

Look at this cute lil' guy! I still can't believe that he is two months old already - time is flying by.  Cade is an excellent eater, a super sleeper (8 hours a night!), and a sweet smiler.  Yes, my baby is making eye contact and smiling already.  I even got a giggle out of him the other night.  He is a sweet baby and makes his mommy proud already!    

 While Cade and I were in the hospital, Aiden had a fantastic birthday party with some of his best buddies at Monkey Bizness. A special thanks to REX for pulling off a birthday party you didn't plan, for McKenzie for taking all the pictures for me, Dixie for coming to our rescue that weekend, and my parents for surprising Aiden and Sam with your visit!  I was sad that I couldn't be there for his party, but with Face Time on the iPhone, I was able to see Aiden open his presents, blow out the candles on his cupcakes, and even go down a slide vicariously through him. :)  (He held the phone and went down a slide with me. "Ready, Mom?" "Ready!" "Wheee!")          

On January 3rd I noticed that Cade had a fever so I called the doctor.  They told me to take him to the ER since fevers before 3 months can be bad news for babies.  I did and was completely surprised when they told me that he had pneumonia in his right lung.  Poor little baby!  They poked and prodded him relentlessly and even did a spinal tap on the poor guy.  Then we took an ambulance to the children's hospital downtown and stayed for two days while waiting for lab results.  He must have screamed most of the pneumonia out because once we got to the hospital his fever broke and he resumed being a happy baby.   Rex took a flight home early (he's traveling to Missouri now for another role every week) and Dixie (Rex's mom) saved the day by taking care of Aiden and Sam and bringing me my phone charger, toothbrush, and clothes.  I missed Aiden's birthday on the 5th since we still had to stay at the hospital, but my parents happened to be dr...

                   

NOVEMBER 1 - Aiden now asks if he can stand next to my tummy and not me. :) t < 10 days to go!! 2 - Slipped on a toy and fell on my bum today in the kitchen.  Had to go to the hospital to make sure everything was okay.  3 - Ended up staying overnight at the hospital.  On the brink of labor, but no baby yet. 4 - Hooray! My mom's here!! 5 - Aiden and Sam both took turns poking my belly this morning and saying, "Oh Cade! Time to come out!" 6 - SERIOUSLY CADE.  ANY DAY NOW... 7 - In the car: Mom: "Look, Sam, at those two fire trucks!"                       Sam: "That'th kinda weird." 8 - n/a 9 - Cramping lots today.  I think this baby is coming for real this time. 10 - WELCOME BABY CADE!
