Education Week at BYU

About a month ago I went to Utah to stay with my darling sister Monica in her cute, married-housing apartment at BYU to go to Education Week with our mom.  Words cannot even describe how BADLY I needed to get away and to get my SOUL replenished with all the knowledge that was given to us there.  Every personal reservoir I have was restocked by all the amazing speakers we went to.  We went to a three hour lecture on the Sacrament and learned way more than I ever knew about the Sacrament; a Parenting class where I learned (in a statistical way that really appealed to my empirical, logical brain) how closely related living the standards set by the church really do help out your children as they go through the challenges of life; a Teaching class; a Personal Management class where I learned about stress management, feeling joy, and time management - ALL things I have needed help with!; an Effective Communication class; and a Spiritual Rebirth class which really helped me understand that everyone is at their own pace for sanctification and that I can EVENTUALLY get there if I keep doing what's right.

Whew! It was quite the uplifting week for me.  I have never slept better (even being 6 1/2 months pregnant on an air mattress) and felt better emotionally, spiritually, and mentally than I have that week.  All things considered, I am making Education Week a new priority to attend every year.
