Never Too Late for a Thanksgiving Post
Yup, it's February and I am just now blogging about Thanksgiving. Don't worry, tho, it'll be short and sweet with mostly pictures because it's been too long to remember all the details.

Cousin Austin and Aiden are always such a hoot when they get together.
All the grandkids watching TV together - 12" away from the screen of course.

Mark and Steph brought this really fun game called "Qwelf." As you can tell from the picture, it requires absolutely no brains at all to play.
Monica and Mason - the happy couple. Although in this picture, Monica is being wooed with a Shakespearean love sonnet from Rex (part of the game.) Mason's taking it all very well, though, considering...
After Thanksgiving dinner we had a Christmas program (since it was the in-laws' turn for Christmas) where I played the music for "The Snowman" while Rex narrated the story throughout it. This musical story was a childhood favorite that all of us loved to watch at Christmastime. I was absolutely THRILLED when Taylor (Rex's brother) got the music for me as a Christmas gift the previous year.
Monica sang a solo during it; my parents waltzed; and the kids got to run around pretending to be motorcycles as the story progressed. We tried to get everyone involved as much as possible so it wouldn't turn out to be just a 30 minute song!
And at the end of the story when the boy and the snowman fly off together, they meet SANTA CLAUS! And guess what?! He came to our house at just the right time in the story!! Aiden was so excited and Sam could care less. It takes a couple years for the excitement to build up, me thinks.
And there you have it. Happy Thanksgiving!
