Valentine's Day at The Old Stone Church

So there's this little gem of a place in downtown Castle Rock called The Old Stone Church. It's small and quaint and oh so classy. It's one of those restaurants where the food portions are on the small side but very exquisite.

The chef used to be a soux chef of Emerill and opened this restaurant to earn money so he can make his own chain someday. So there's the background. (Pictured above is our appetizer of Cajun Challah bread with grilled Brie, roasted Garlic, and Jalapeno Berry Compote. HEAVEN.)

This wonderful man of mine spoiled me and took me there for Valentine's Day. We didn't do anything else because it was one of those dining experiences that takes a couple hours to enjoy. We dressed up in our finest - I wore fishnet stockings and silver heels!! - and we felt like a King and Queen there.

I love you, sweetheart! Thank you for taking such good care of me!

And just to add this on to the Valentine's Day theme, I am very proud of my decorations for the month. The adorable cupcake cookie jar was $8.99 on Clearance and the L-O-V-E table... thing... was $4.99 at Kohl's. It pays to buy your decorations after V-Day!
