Bowling with the Boys

On a hot, summer day a couple weeks ago I took the boys bowling. It was a total hit. After each turn Aiden would jump up and down for his happy dance.



They loved watching the balls come back up to us. So magical and mysterious!



The smallest size balls they had were 7 pounds, which is pretty heavy for a little guy! Sam handled it just fine in his cute little bowling shoes. :)



And Aiden kept us on track as far as taking turns went. And of course he loved the idea of rolling a heavy ball down a ramp that will crash into other hard objects with a splendid sound to go with it. This kid was in heaven!

So now that I have finally caught up with my blogging, I feel that I need to explain where I've been. This blog is mainly for journal purposes, so just ignore this post if it makes you uncomfortable. I've known that I've struggled with depression for five years now. I've been in some dark places in my life with horrible thoughts and temptations, but it's been under control for the most part. I've been "missing" for the past 2 months because I was slowly spiraling downwards without realizing it. True, I never had any suicidal thoughts this last time (maxing out your Zoloft should have SOME kind of effect) but I started losing interest in the things that usually make me happy. Blogging. Surrounded by Handsomeness

      We christened the new van by going on TWO road trips this month. The first was to Oklahoma (and I guess, technically, Branson, MO as well) and the next weekend was to Utah to celebrate Rex's sister's wedding!
