Chik-a-CHEET!!

(Translation: Trick or TREAT!!)

OK, I know all the mothers out there think that they're kids were the cutest lil' darlings out there on Halloween night, but seriously, I think I've got you all beat. I could seriously not get enough of these cuties!

Can't you just see the joy oozing out of them??

Yeah, what is Sam doing here??

Zooming in, it appears he's serenading us with a Halloween song on his makeshift microphone.

The Mario Brothers, version 2.0 (the much cuter update)

We trick-or-treated around our WHOLE neighborhood. Sam was a trooper but Aiden pooped out towards the end. I knew it was time to go home when he started crawling on the sidewalk saying that he was too tired to go on. :)

Here's what they looked like at our church Trunk-or-Treat party with their mustaches still intact. They lasted a whole 15 seconds - just enough time to take this picture. :)

So I got the privilege this year to take the boys trick or treating. Usually Rex would do it, but he's been on crutches all weekend due to a pinched nerve in his toe. (Sounds kinda weird, but he couldn't walk at all on it. His whole foot was swollen and purple. Yeah, I'd say he deserved to take a break!) I absolutely loved watching Aiden and Sam's eagerness and excitement to run to the door first and say "Chik-a-Cheet!" followed by a quick "Chay Choo!" (thank you). It was even more humorous because of the fake bellies inflated in their bellies. So I should say they waddled to each door. Aiden was quite in character the whole night. This is how most of the night went:

Aiden: Mom! Mom!
Me: Yes Aiden?
Aiden: No, I Mario!
Me: Oh, sorry Mario.
Aiden: Hey Mom!
Me: Yes, Mario??

And Sam was just eager for "Mo' Canny!" He didn't care if he had to dress up, say some magical words, and run from door to door - just as long as he got his candy. That kid has a serious sweet tooth. In fact, after the Trunk-or-Treat I let the boys leave out their pumpkin buckets for the next morning and when I came downstairs they had eaten ALL of their candy. ALL of it. And Sam was still asking for more. Good thing Halloween was the next day and we could wash, rinse, and repeat the festivities all over again. And I would do it all over again just to see them waddle in their adorable costumes.
