November Snow and Pumpkin Patch

So a couple days after Halloween we were surprised with a major snowstorm. It snowed...6-9 inches...?... either way, it was a lot and the boys LOVED it! I tell ya what, even though it took me 45 minutes to get these two wiggle worms into their snow gear and an hour to shovel the driveway and sidewalk, we had FUN. I love having two little boys who love life. It completely wears me out, but much better than being bored all day.

Knee-deep snow!

Catching snowflakes with his tongue

The ultimate snowball!
(which Sam did NOT appreciate being the recipient of said snowball...)

...which made for a very distressed Sam for a bit

These are the snow piles that I shoveled off of our driveway. That should tell ya how much snow we had!

They were such big piles that the boys had fun sliding down them on their bellies.

By the next weekend the snow had melted and it was beautiful again, so we all went to a pumpkin patch complete with hay ride.

Turns out that all the snow from the previous weekend did a number on all the pumpkins. By the time the tractor pulled up to the patch, all that was left were some very mushy and sickly-colored pumpkins. Still, we had a good time!

Here's Aiden and Sam looking out our bedroom window at yet another snow storm that hit us. I love winter!!
