Mom's One Line a Day - June

- We took the boys to their first baseball game today after celebrating Sam's birthday with Rex's family.  I think the boys were more excited to have junk food than to watch the game. Can't say that I blame them... ;-)

- First fay of Sports Camp for Aiden and Sam! After my piano class I got to watch them the last 20 minutes playing soccer and baseball.  Sam is in La-La land most of the time.
- Can Cade get any chunkier?? His knee folds, rubber band arms, and Michelin legs crack me up!
- Aiden is so creative with his lego creations. He'll show me a truck he built and tell me what each part does.  "That's the laser beam.  That's the garbage grabber.  That's the banana shooter..."
- Cade is so funny.  He rolls and rolls around the floor until he gets stuck somewhere.  Today I found him under the TV stand.
- Finished my first week of Piano Camp!  And the boys finished off their sports camp with a soccer tournament.  Aiden is so burnt out, saying that "Sports camp is too much exercise!" :)
- Rex came home this morning from the boys' first Father and Sons camp-out.  Sam insisted on going as spiderman.  We had made the mistake of thinking that Aiden and Sam could share a sleeping bag.  Needless to say, Rex was pretty exhausted today.

- Me: Sam, you're such a trickster.
Sam:  No, I'm just a little boy!!
- Happy 8 years to Rex and Me!  He spent our anniversary out of state, and I spent it taking care of sick kids and folding laundry.  Huzzah!
- Sam is sick with a stomach bug and high fever.  After asking his if he needed anything, he said, "No...wait... you." "Huh?" "I want you." Awww.  Melt my heart!  So I patted his back until he fell asleep.
- Sam was feeling much better today so we spent a lot of time playing outside with water guns.  I think we all felt much better after getting some sunshine.
- Cade was on his tummy on the floor looking around when he saw his foot of the corner of his eye.  He reached for it, but when he pivoted, his foot moved away.  So I spent a good 2 minutes watching him chase his foot in circles. :)
- I have been so excited all day to spend my birthday weekend with Rex!  First stop: Brazillian Barbecue.  Second Stop: Marriot Hotel with NO KIDS!  Third Stop:  Water World!
- Rex and I spent all day at Water World.  It was AWESOME!  It was quite the realization we had when we realized we didn't have to rush home when we started getting tired.  We could relax!
- Happy Father's Day to Rex!  So glad I married that man.  I tried to make this day special by making coffee cake for breakfast, a nag-free afternoon, some 8-bit geeky gifts, and fajitas for dinner.
- Aiden has the stomach bug now and I'm feeling kinda crummy too.  Ugh.
- Sam loves hiding behind my back with his arms around my neck and swinging back and forth saying, "Ga-Prise!" (surprise) He says he's being a "sneek-er" when he does this.  Cute, other than the choking part.
- Sam was trying to tell Aiden and I something that we just weren't getting.  (He's picking up a nasty stutter...)  After a while of hard listening, Aiden excitedly interrupted, "Wow, Sammy!  Are you speaking SPANISH??"

- We spent 5 hours at the children's museum today.  It was AWESOME!  Aiden loved building crafts from recycled goods and Sam loved the bubble room and ball mazes.

- I had big plans to have more summer fun with the boys, but yesterday completely wore me out.
- Cade took his first crawling steps today!
- Sam's spotlight today in Primary: Why are you talented? Because I can run really fast in my shoes.  How do you know Heavenly Father loves you? Because I can eat food.
- Aiden asked me to get him a tank top to wear so he could "See [his] big muscles!"
- While talking to Rex tonight on the phone, Aiden came in and wanted to have a turn.  I handed the phone to him and the he proceeded to tattle on me to Rex saying that all I made them do today was "work, work, work!!"
- Trying to pack and clean the house while teaching 5 piano lessons is quite stressful!  I am SO ready for this vacation.
- Left for Oklahoma today, just me and the 3 boys.  Sam's ears started hurting on the planes descent so he put stickers over his ears, insisting that it helped. :)

- The boys can stand up in the middle of my parents' pool!! Last year they had to wear floaties!  When did they get so tall??
- Well wouldn't you know it that just 3 days here and Aiden has already made it to the ER for an asthma attack and double ear infection.  Oy... Every time.  Never fails.
- Aiden is so amazing with building things out of Legos!  He is in heaven playing with all of "Gwamma"s bucket of Legos.
