Bubble Run

Our family joined up with a couple other families in the ward and ran the 5K Bubble Run!  At every kilometer mark, there was a big bubble foam pit dyed different colors to run through.  Talk about FUN and motivational to make it to the next kilometer!




The boys liked to let Rex do all the work in between bubble pits. :-)

Sam got in the spirit and actually started running for a bit.

Here's Rex leading Cade through the bubbles.  In every announcement they made sure to mention that it was absolutely necessary to hold your child's hand through the bubble pits.  After the first one, we could see why - he would have been lost underneath all those bubbles and probably be trampled!



Whew!  We made it!  The boys did great we all had a good, messy, slimy time!

In the meetup place in the middle of all the vendors, they had a bubble machine running just for fun. Aiden definitely got his fill of bubbles!

After all that running and bubbling, we were ravenous.  We went to this delicious pizza joint where the slices were HUMONGOUS!  Seriously, one slice was half as big as Cade!

Some Time Away in Paradise

Mist of Darkness

So now that I have finally caught up with my blogging, I feel that I need to explain where I've been. This blog is mainly for journal purposes, so just ignore this post if it makes you uncomfortable. I've known that I've struggled with depression for five years now. I've been in some dark places in my life with horrible thoughts and temptations, but it's been under control for the most part. I've been "missing" for the past 2 months because I was slowly spiraling downwards without realizing it. True, I never had any suicidal thoughts this last time (maxing out your Zoloft should have SOME kind of effect) but I started losing interest in the things that usually make me happy. Blogging. Surrounded by Handsomeness

      We christened the new van by going on TWO road trips this month. The first was to Oklahoma (and I guess, technically, Branson, MO as well) and the next weekend was to Utah to celebrate Rex's sister's wedding!
