June June June!

This kid seriously cracks me up. He is Mr. Personality with his quirks and grins and giggles. We went to one of my favorite parks in Denver with Rex and the boys. Aiden sure was proud that he climbed this rock all by himself!  He is so independent and is getting so big so fast! Rex and I celebrated our 9th anniversary by staying at a Ritz-Carlton in Denver and going to see a comedy show.  He surprised me with a new camera (EEK!) and I had so much fun taking pictures with it and figuring it out.  We went to this super cute Crepe place for breakfast - side note: ComiCon was going on the same weekend we were there and so we had quite a blast finding all these random people dressed up.  In this crepe picture, can you find Waldo?? With the end of school and the start of summer came SWIMMING!!  Grandma Phillips let us use her neighborhood pool several times to the boys' delight.  We all had a blast!  I was so surprised and excited t...

The Month of May

Image
Slowly but surely I'm trying to catch up on this blog! Augh! And these kids just keep getting cuter and cuter and it's so hard to keep up with it all!  But I love it and I love them, so bear with me. :) See what I mean about CUTE???  My mom came to help out with the kiddos for a bit during May.  The boys absolutely love her.  Cade snuggled right up (and was good as long as he didn't see me... silly boy) while Sam made himself comfy and played with Gwamma's hair.  It was so adorable - I couldn't resist the urge to snap away! My mom was there to capture how story time usually goes these days with a toddler again.  Cade climbs over all of us and does his best to distract us from the book. ;) Rex went in to have weight loss Bariatric surgery this month as well.  Here he is pre-op and charming as ever.  Rex is the best patient, I've decided.  Even when he was in the recovery room and groggy, he was still trying to help solv...

Chore Charts

Image
I decided to turn the boys' chore charts they get from Taekwando for "Attitude stripes" into a picture chore chart they can easily understand, since neither reads yet.  I thought I'd share the pictures I took of them doing the various chores because I love to see free manual labor in the works. :) Clean up toys around the house. Put dirty clothes in hamper Brush teeth Clean up the bathroom Put away folded clothes Clean room Lay out clothes for the next day Clean up after meals and snacks Practice Piano (I added that one!) Make bed Take a bath Hang up towel . Even Cade has wanted in on the chore thing lately.  You might even say he's been very passionate about it too! They are GREAT boys and are good workers.  They get a dollar every night if they do all the things on their charts.  They wanted to save up to buy these "stuffies" at Target, but when the time came, they bo...
