October Fishing in Oklahoma
Yes I have been a slacker lately when it comes to blogging, but ya get what ya get! I'll try to catch up before Christmas :) In October we went to Oklahoma to see my family. For one Saturday morning, Uncle "B" (as the boys like to call my brother Brian) took all of us fishing. We got Aiden and Sam some cheap little fishing poles and a bucket of worms and headed out with their cousins Austin and Kimber. They had a blast playing with their fishing poles and holding the worms. But the fish just weren't biting. After 45 minutes of the adults trying to fish while the kids ended up running around the pond, my mom (Gwamma Jeanie) finally caught a fish - or snagged its back more like it. It was a total fluke, but it was enough of a success to call our fishing experience good for the day. The kids took pity on the poor fish and tried feeding it a worm as it was gasping for air. As Brian put it, "Sweet... or cruel??" We threw the fish back in after it had its fill of a fresh worm and checked "Fishing" off our bucket list.
