May 2014
I didn't write that much in my mommy journal this month, so it's kind of splotchy.
Aiden and Sam have been moved to private Taekwando lessons because Aiden just couldn't handle being in a group. He still has trouble behaving and I've had to intervene a couple times by putting him in time-out.
After Taekwando, I usually stop by the mailboxes on the way home and the boys always want to get out of the van and race me home. :) They're so cute.
Sam had his friend and neighbor Horatio over to play.
Aiden built "The tallest tower EVER!"
Cade is ever so cute and smiley - even when it starts to snow at the park in MAY. Crazy Colorado.
For Mother's Day, Rex gave me this. A gaming mouse. Yep. To help me play Final Fantasy with him a little easier. I can't decided to laugh or cry. I'll laugh. :)
Cade helped me shovel snow during one of the random snow storms this month.
Some random "Overheard at Our House" bits:
Aiden: Can we go to the skate park tomorrow?
Me: Hmm, tomorrow is kinda busy. Maybe we can go on Saturday.
Aiden: Hmm, I can't go on Saturday because that's when you're taking me to the Children's Museum.
Oh really???
Aiden: I can't wait to turn 8!
Me: Oh yeah? Why?
(I'm thinking it's because he learned about baptism recently and that's when he can get baptized.)
Aiden: 'Cuz that's when I can drive!!
Keep wishing, buster.
Overhearing Aiden and Sam playing together in the basement. Aiden was working on legos and was blocking the way out.
Sam: I want to get through!
Aiden: No you can't. The police are working here.
Sam: It's okay. (in a taunting voice) I have a donuuut!
In the car
Sam: Aiden, when you eat zombie carrots, do you get a carrot burp?
Aiden: Uh... I never eat carrots. Except on Tuesday.
Sam: Mom, I sink I know sumsing.
Me: Oh yeah? What?
Sam: I sink I love you.
AWWWWWWWWW!!!
Once again in the car
Aiden: I think I heard God speak to me last night.
Me: Really. What did he say?
Aiden: He said, said in a melodious quiet voice, "Aiden, dudes are never mean."
I watched my friend's daughter one afternoon and she and Sam helped me plant the beans in the garden. They found a worm and it was just so gosh darn cute how they reacted to it!
At the end of May I held my end of school piano recital. They all did so great and I love being a piano teacher!
Me and the Porras Sisters!
