Merry Christmas!

Sam was the first to wake Christmas morning.  He waited patiently while Rex and I showered and got ready and then woke Aiden up.  Aiden was completely groggy until he heard the words, "Santa came!" Then he was the first one down the stairs.

Santa apparently listened to Aiden's request for Nerf guns and even supplied helium balloons for target practice.

Sam got the cool dragon he saw at the store and Aiden got an Iron Man costume, complete with hand repulsor.

Aiden also got a doctor kit and immediately checked Sam's blood pressure on his leg.  Sam was a very good patient.  My ears checked out to be healthy, too.

Rex was thrilled that I finally gave in after 7 1/2 years of marriage and got him a deep fat fryer.  Corn dogs never tasted better. :)

Sam showed off his genius with his magnetic tangrams.  The kid really did a great job copying the pictures!

And finally we took the boys downstairs where we surprised them with a trampoline and bouncy balls for it.  That's right.  We fit a trampoline on our back patio UNDER the deck (pretty sure that's gonna be a safety issue...)  Rex and I spent Christmas Eve night putting it together for 3 hours in 10 degree weather while it was snowing.  I don't think Rex is going to let me live this one down. The boys LOVED it though, so it was all worth it.

After our Christmas celebrations, we drove to Red Rocks park for family pictures with Rex's family (next post) and came back for Christmas Morning Take Two.

Auntie "Marfa" held Cade for me while Rex and I got ready for the troops to come rushing in on another Christmas surprise.

All the cousins came rushing in from the front room to see what Santa had brought them at Grandma's house.  Talk about fun!!

Santa brought our boys a basketball hoop.  Woohoo!

And then when all the craziness was over, we went home and crashed.  Well, Rex and I did.  The boys promptly went out to their trampoline to jump in freezing weather. :)

Merry Christmas!!
